If you’ve seen my Instagram lately, the lip colors I’ve been leaning towards are either wine shades or oxblood reds. Bite Beauty has fantastic options for both of these. Yesterday, I talked about the Luminous Creme Lipstick Duo in Poppy and Scarlet, and today I’m going to focus on three more of the Luminous Creme Lipsticks – only this time two of the shades I’m talking about are available online only. It’s difficult when choosing shades that are only available online because there are few people who will take those chances without looking up a ton of swatches.
Mulberry and Casis are the wine shades, with Barolo being a really different mauve.
Mulberry is the only shade that you can find in store. It’s a burgundy wine. Mulberry has a super creamy finish; however, like all the Luminous Creme Lipsticks, it doesn’t feather on me.
Casis is supposed to be an aubergine shade, but it’s definitely close to a burgundy wine. In fact, as you can probably see, Mulberry and Casis seem strikingly similar. In the next photo, you see Casis on top and Mulberry on the bottom:
I would say that they are dupes of each other (entirely, since they come from the same brand in the same formula and the same color). If you have Mulberry or Casis, you don’t need the other.
Barolo is listed as a blackberry shade. To me, it’s a mauve-y purple, cool-toned, and it cools down your face when you wear it.
Currently, all three are sold out online, but you can still find Mulberry in stores! I’m sure I’ve said this before, but I absolutely adore the Luminous Creme lipstick formula. It’s smooth and non drying, and since it doesn’t feather on me I’m always excited to grab one to wear.
