Skincare Sunday: Malin + Goetz Detox Face Mask

One of the shining moments of my PopSugar Must Have Box was this Malin + Goetz Detox Face Mask. It has an almond scent (which I was honestly expecting once I found out that it has soy as one of it’s main ingredients).

How did the mask work out?

IMG_0085When you first pump the mask out, it comes out as a thin-ish white cream. You apply it to your entire face, and almost instantly it starts to foam.

My fiance just got a new camera, so he was super willing to take photos for me today. Anyways, the mask foams up really quickly. You can hear it bubbling. It kind of reminds me of how the Philosophy Oxygen Peel, but honestly, I haven’t tried that mask in a long time (2007 in NYC with my mom, if you must know).

After about four minutes

After about four minutes

Honestly, this does not help with my acne. I don’t really notice a huge difference after I use it. However, I do notice that it isn’t drying, and doesn’t make my skin feel tight. I also like the weird oxygen bubbles that happen when you use it.You’re only supposed to leave it on for five minutes.

A lot of the people on PopSugar boards were complaining about this mask because they are allergic to soy protein, so I feel like it’s necessary to mention the soy again (three times now).

Rating: C
Price: $40 for 4 oz ($10 an ounce).

Since this mask was $40, it paid for my PopSugar box. I’m really glad that I was able to try a Malin + Goetz product since I didn’t get it in my last Ipsy box (I would have kept Ipsy if I did). I probably wouldn’t buy it in the future. If you want to try out PopSugar, I would really love you if you used my referral link here.

What are some other Malin + Goetz products I should try?
